  • Indonesia Stock Market Update: IPO Soechi Lines & Forecast IPOs in 2015

    Indonesian shipping company Soechi Lines targets to raise IDR 2 trillion through an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in November 2014. The company will release 2.6 billion shares, 30 percent of its enlarged capital, to the public. General Director of Soechi Lines, Go Darmadi, said that shares will be offered at a price of between IDR 600 and 800 per share. Half of the proceeds will be spent on capital expenditure (capex), while the remainder will be used for debt repayment and operational costs.

  • Bond Issuance of Express Transindo Utama for Further Business Expansion

    Express Transindo Utama, the second-largest taxi operator in Indonesia (after the Blue Bird Group), targets to raise IDR 1 trillion (USD $88 million) through the issuance of three- and five-year bonds in the months ahead. Proceeds of this issuance will be used to finance further business expansion of the company, which includes the purchase of new taxi units. President Director of Express Daniel Podiman said that BCA Sekuritas, Mandiri Sekuritas and Valbury Asia Securities were appointed to assist the debt sale.

  • Pembangunan Perumahan Lists PP Properti on Indonesia Stock Exchange

    Pembangunan Perumahan (PP), an Indonesia-based government-controlled construction and investment company, plans to list its subsidiary PP Properti on the Indonesia Stock Exchange through an initial public offering (IPO). The subsidiary is expected to list 30 percent of its shares on the stock exchange and aims to raise between IDR 1.2 and 1.5 trillion (roughly USD $119 million) through this corporate action. The IPO is planned to be conducted in the first quarter of 2015. The possible lead underwriters are Mandiri Sekuritas and Bahana Securities.

    Wijaya Karya Beton, better known as Wika Beton, set its share price at IDR 590 for the initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Previously, the company indicated an offering price target in the range of IDR 470 to IDR 630 per share. As Wika Beton's shares are expected to lure investors, the price was set relatively high within that price range.     Sawit Sumbermas Sarana, a subsidiary of palm oil plantation company Citra Borneo Indah, plans to release 15.7 percent of its shares (1.5 billion shares) to the public through an initial public offering (IPO). The IPO will be conducted in November 2013. The book building takes place between 7 and 20 November and the official listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange is scheduled for 12 December 2013. The underwriters of the IPO are BNP Paribas Securities, Mandiri Sekuritas and RHB OSK Securities.

  • Indonesia's Index Gains 0.63% on Friday, Property Stocks Continue to Fall

    In line with the general trend in the Asian region, Indonesia's main stock index (IHSG) rose 0.63 percent to 4,633.11 on Friday (12/07). One of the sectoral indices that did not follow this trend was Indonesia's property sector, which fell 0.66 percent on Friday. Since early June (and in line with large capital outflows), Indonesian property shares have experienced a significant fall of about 20 percent. Moreover, Bank Indonesia's decision to raise its benchmark interest rate by 50 bps to 6.50 percent will most likely add downward pressure on the sector.
