Requirements for Trading License Application

The Trading Company must submit an application for Trading License to the Government by filling out the special Trading License application form, in which it needs to provide information regarding identity of the company’s representative and the Trading Company. The Trading License application form must be attached with at least the following documents:

For a limited liability company:

1. Copy of the deed of establishment (including any amendments of the articles of association [if any]);
2. Decree regarding the legalization of the legal entity status of the company (Decree of Minister Law and Human Right);
3. Domicile Letter;
4. Tax Registration (NPWP);
5. Copy of identity card (KTP) of the responsible person/director of the head office;
6. Statement from the Trading License applicant regarding the company's business location, and;
7. Two photos of the person in charge or director of the Trading Company.

For a Cooperative:

1. Copy of Deed of Establishment of Cooperative, authorized by the competent government body;
2. Domicile letter;
3. Tax Registration (NPWP);
4. Copy of Identity Card (KTP) of the responsible person or management of the Cooperative;
5. Statement from the Trading License applicant regarding the Cooperative's business location, and;
6. Two photos of the person in charge or management of the Cooperative.

For a CV and a firm:

1. Copy of Deed of Establishment/Deed that has been filed in the District Court;
2. Domicile letter;
3. Tax Registration (NPWP);
4. Copy of Identity Card (KTP) of the owner or from management or responsible person;
5. Statement from the Trading License applicant regarding the company's business location, and;
6. Two photos of the owner, the management, or the responsible person of the company.

For an individual company:

1. Copy of Identity Card (KTP) of the owner or responsible person;
2. Statement from the Trading License applicant regarding the company's business location, and;
3. Two photos of the owner or the responsible person of the company

Within a period of approximately 7 working days after receipt of the complete and correct Trading License application, the Ministry will issue a Trading License (SIUP) to the Trading Company as follows:

1. Green colored SIUP for micro companies;
2. White colored SIUP for small companies;
3. Blue colored SIUP for medium companies; and
4. Yellow colored SIUP for large companies.
