Different Types of Visitors Permit

The most common types of visitors permits are:

1. a visitors permit based on the single entry visit visa (Visa Kunjungan), in accordance with article 4(1)(a) Regulation 27/2014. Aforementioned permit may be issued for a maximum period of 60 days as of the day of entry into Indonesia;

2. a visitors permit based on a multiple entry visit visa (Visa Kunjungan Beberapa Kali Perjalanan), in accordance with article 4(1)(a) Regulation 27/2014. Aforementioned permit may be issued for a maximum period of 60 days as of the day of entry into Indonesia; and

3. a visitors permit based on a visa on arrival, in accordance with article 3(2)(d) Regulation 27/2014. Aforementioned permit may be issued for a maximum period of 30 days as of the day of entry into Indonesia.

Single Entry Visit Visa (Visa Kunjungan)

Based on article 4(3) Regulation 27/2014, a single entry visit visa may be issued for the following reasons of visiting Indonesia:

1. travel;
2. family;
3. social;
4. art and culture;
5. administration tasks;
6. non-commercial sports;
7. comparative studies, short courses and short training;
8. providing guidance, counseling and training in the application and industrial technological innovation to improve the quality and design of industrial products as well as overseas marketing cooperation for Indonesia;
9. performing emergency and urgent work;
10. journalism that has received permission from the competent authority;
11. producer of non-commercial films and has received permission from the competent authority;
12. performing business talks;
13. making purchases;
14. giving lectures or attending seminars;
15. following international exhibitions;
16. attending meetings held with headquarters or offices in Indonesia;
17. conducting audits, production quality controls or inspections on a branch company in Indonesia;
18. prospective foreign workers in their trial of their ability to work;
19. continuing traveling to other countries; and
20. joining with Transport Equipment located in the Territory of Indonesia.

Multiple Entry Visit Visa (Visa Kunjungan Beberapa Kali Perjalanan)

Based on article 4(4) Regulation 27/2014, a multiple entry visit visa may be issued for the following reasons of visiting Indonesia:

1. family;
2. social;
3. art and culture;
4. administration tasks;
5. performing business talks;
6. making purchases;
7. following seminars;
8. following international exhibitions;
9. attending meetings held with headquarters or offices in Indonesia; and
10. continuing traveling to other countries.

Visa on Arrival (Visa Kunjungan Saat Kedatangan)

Based on article 10(1) Regulation 27/2014, a visa on arrival may be issued for the following reasons of visiting Indonesia:

1. travel;
2. family;
3. social;
4. art and culture;
5. administration tasks;
6. performing business talks;
7. making purchases;
8. following seminars;
9. following international exhibitions;
10. attending a meeting held with headquarters or offices in Indonesia;
11. continuing traveling to other countries; and
12. joining Transport Equipment located in the Country of Indonesia.
