  • IPO of Indonesia Pondasi Raya (Indopora) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

    Construction firm Indonesia Pondasi Raya plans to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in December 2015. The company, better known as Indopora, aims to raise around IDR 530 billion (approx. USD $39 million) by offering 303 million shares, or 15.1 percent of its paid-up capital, at a price ranging between IDR 1,280 and IDR 1,920 per share. This range is based on a price-to-earnings ratio of 8 to 12 times. Kurnia Salim, Head of Institutional Business at Yuanta Securities Indonesia, said Indopora is projected to collect IDR 333 billion (approx. USD $25 million) in net profit in 2016.

  • IPO Mitra Komunikasi Nusantara on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

    Today Mitra Komunikasi Nusantara made a successful trading debut on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The company, a prepaid mobile credit wholesaler, became the 14th Indonesian company to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the IDX this year. Offered at an initial price of IDR 200 (approx USD $0.01) per share, the price rose 70 percent at its trading debut, finishing at IDR 340 per share. Mitra Komunikasi Nusantara is engaged in the trading and sales of smartphones, gadgets, and voucher reloading.

  • Indonesia Stock Exchange Update: IPOs Short of Target in 2015

    The economic slowdown and looming capital outflows related to higher US interest rates have been the main reasons why it is highly unlikely for the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) to achieve its revised target of seeing 22 companies conducting an initial public offering (IPO) on the IDX in 2015. So far this year, only 13 companies have listed on the IDX. However, reportedly, there are still about a dozen local companies interested to prepare an IPO in the next two months.

  • Indonesia Stock Exchange: Initial Public Offering Bank Harda Internasional

    On Wednesday (12/08), Bank Harda Internasional became the 12th company to list on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2015. The bank released 800 million shares to the public at a price of IDR 125 (USD $0.01) per share hence raising IDR 100 billion (USD $7.2 million) through the initial public offering (IPO). Despite harsh conditions - the benchmark Jakarta Composite Index fell 2.66 percent during the first trading session on Wednesday - shares of Bank Harda Internasional (with IDX code BBHI) rose 3.2 percent to IDR 129.

    Pada hari Selasa (14/07), perusahaan konstruksi dan pengembang properti Binakarya Jaya Abadi menjadi perusahaan ke-11 yang didaftarkan di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) di 2015.     Penyedia solusi teknologi informasi Anabatic Technologies, menjadi perusahaan ke-10 yang mendaftarkan diri di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) di 2015.     Shares of Indonesian mining company Merdeka Copper Gold rose about 15 percent on its trading debut on Friday (19/06). The company, a subsidiary of Saratoga Capital, was the sixth company to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2015. Head of Finance and Corporate Secretary Ellie Turjandi said that Merdeka’s shares had been oversubscribed nearly 40 times during the public offering (11-15 June 2015), reflecting investors’ confidence even though the company has not yet begun production.

    Industrial estate developer Puradelta Lestari, unit of Singapore-listed Sinarmas Land Ltd, was listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Friday (29/05) thus becoming the fifth firm to go public on the IDX in 2015. Through the initial public offering (IPO) Puradelta Lestari raised IDR 1 trillion (USD $76 million) by offering 4.8 billion shares to the public, equivalent to ten percent of the company’s enlarged capital, for a price of IDR 210 per share. On the first trading day, shares of the company rose 4.29 percent.

    Indonesian property developer Poris Benteng Betawi may conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2015. Proceeds from the IPO would be used to finance a 20-hectare wide superblock project involving apartment and office towers, a school, hospital, mall and hotel in Tangerang (West Java). The property developer is currently still occupied with the land acquisition process for the project. Although this process has only been realized for 80 percent, groundbreaking of the project has already been held.

    Blue Bird, Indonesia’s largest taxi operator, plans to conduct its initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) this month. The company offers 531.4 million shares, or 20 percent of its enlarged capital, to the public. However, the company is yet to determine the share price for the IPO. Based on a statement released on Friday (03/10), Blue Bird holds an offering from 24 to 28 October 2014. The company’s shares are set to be listed on the IDX on 3 November 2014. Blue Bird will also hold roadshows in the US and the UK.

    In the first half of 2014, 13 Indonesian companies conducted an initial public offering (IPO), including one relisting, on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).   • Week Full of New Company Listings on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

    After Bank Panin Syariah became Indonesia's first newly listed company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the year 2014, it was quickly followed by four more listings in this past week. On Thursday (16/01), three new listings were conducted - Asuransi Mitra Maparya (ASMI), Bank Ina Perdana (BINA) and Capitol Nusantara Indonesia (CANI) - as well as one relisting - Tunas Alfin (TALF). The latter had delisted from the Surabaya Stock Exchange in December 2009 after the exchanges of Jakarta and Surabaya merged into the IDX.

  • Two Indonesian Airlines Plan Corporate Actions for Business Expansion

    Garuda Indonesia, the country's top-class airline, is planning to conduct a rights issue in the first quarter of 2014. Through this corporate action, which has already been approved by the shareholders, the state-controlled company aims to raise IDR 2 trillion (USD $162.6 million). For 2014, the airline plans to allocate IDR 4 trillion in capital expenditure (capex) for business expansion. About half of this amount should originate from funds generated through the rights issue.
