  • Adhi Persada Properti Plans IPO on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015

    Adhi Persada Properti, subsidiary of majority state-owned construction company Adhi Karya, plans to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2015. The company hopes to reap IDR 600-700 billion (roughly USD $54 million) through this corporate action. However, Pulung Prahasto, Director of Adhi Persada Properti, declined to inform how many shares will be publicly listed as this is still a topic for internal debate.   • Two Indonesian State-Owned Plantation Companies May Conduct IPO in 2014

    Indonesia's Coordinating Economic Minister Hatta Rajasa announced that the Indonesian government approved plans for the initial public offerings (IPOs) of two state-owned plantation companies: Perkebunan Nusantara V and Perkebunan Nusantara VII. The former is engaged in the plantation and production of palm oil as well as rubber, while the latter is engaged in the cultivation and plantation of rubber, oil palm, sugar cane, and tea products. Before the IPO, the government will establish a holding company for the plantation companies first.

  • Wika Beton Preparing IPO on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in Q1-2014

    Wika Beton, a subsidiary of majority state-owned construction company Wijaya Karya, will sell over 20 percent of its enlarged capital in an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the first quarter of 2014. The company, which has appointed Bahana Securities, Mandiri Sekuritas, Danareksa Sekuritas and Sucorinvest Central Gani to act as underwriters for the IPO, expects a 20 percent increase (yoy) in revenue to IDR 2.4 trillion in 2013, and targets a similar growth rate in 2014.

  • Bank Panin Syariah First New Listed Company on Indonesia Stock Exchange

    On Wednesday (15/01), the first new listing of 2014 on the Indonesia Stock Exchange was conducted. Bank Panin Syariah, provider of Islamic banking services and subsidiary of Bank Panin, became a listed company (with listed company code PNBS). Through the initial public offering (IPO), the financial institution is looking for additional capital to meet the central bank's requirement to become a BUKU 2 type of bank (see explanation below). The company aims to reap IDR 475 billion (USD $39.6 million) through the release of 4.75 billion shares.

  • Indonesia Stock Exchange Expects 30 Companies to Conduct IPO in 2014

    Same as last year's result, the Indonesia Stock Exchange expects 30 Indonesian companies to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) in 2014. Ito Warsito, Director of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), said that 15 companies are targeted to become listed on the exchange in the first half of 2014. In January 2014, Link Net, Bank Panin Syariah, Bank Ina Perdana as well as Asuransi Mitra Maparya are expected to become listed companies as they have already been granted approval for this corporate action.

  • Listing of Sido Muncul Herbal (SIDO) on Indonesia Stock Exchange

    On Wednesday (18/12), PT Industri Jamu dan Farmasi Sido Muncul, better known as Sido Muncul Herbal, was the 30th company that became listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2013. The company, Indonesia's largest herbal medicine producer, offers 1.5 billion shares (about ten percent of its enlarged capital) to the public for the price of IDR 580 per share, thus aiming to generate IDR 8.7 trillion (USD $72.5 million) from today's initial public offering (IPO).

  • Indomobil Multi Jasa is the 28th IPO on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013

    Yesterday (10/12), the 28th initial public listing (IPO) in 2013 on Indonesia's Stock Exchange was conducted. Financing company Indomobil Multi Jasa - with company code IMJS - offered 450 million shares, or 10.4 percent of its stake, to the public with a price tag of IDR 500 per share. The company is a subsidiary of Indomobil Sukses Internasional (IMAS), Indonesia's second-largest automotive distributor after Astra International. Through the IPO, the company aims to obtain IDR 225 billion for business expansion.

  • Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) Studying IPO Adjustments

    The Financial Services Authority of Indonesia (Otoritas Jasa Keuangan, abbreviated OJK) is studying the possibility to raise the minimum ratio of shares that has to be offered to the public for an initial public offering (IPO) to 30 percent. Currently, a company that conducts an IPO on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) needs to offer at least 10 percent of its enlarged capital to the public. Previously, the stock exchange had suggested to raise the minimum ratio to 20 percent. However, the OJK seems eager to push the boundary higher.

    Grand Kartech, an Indonesian engineering and manufacturing company, will be listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) today (08/11). The company offers 163.64 million shares to the public through its initial public offering (IPO). The stock price that was set for the IPO amounts to IDR 275 (USD $0.024) per share and the company expects to reap IDR 45 billion (USD $4.0 million) through this corporate action.     Sawit Sumbermas Sarana, a subsidiary of palm oil plantation company Citra Borneo Indah, plans to release 15.7 percent of its shares (1.5 billion shares) to the public through an initial public offering (IPO). The IPO will be conducted in November 2013. The book building takes place between 7 and 20 November and the official listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange is scheduled for 12 December 2013. The underwriters of the IPO are BNP Paribas Securities, Mandiri Sekuritas and RHB OSK Securities.

    Shares of newly-listed Dua Putra Utama Makmur soared on Tuesday (08/12) at its debut on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Shares of the fish processing firm, the 15th company to be welcomed on the IDX in 2015, climbed 50 percent to finish at IDR 825 per share.   • IPO of Kino Indonesia on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

    Before the end of the year, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company Kino Indonesia plans to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The company aims to raise around IDR 1 trillion (approx. USD $74 million) by offering 228.6 million new shares, equivalent to 16 percent of its enlarged capital, to the public. The price range of has been set between IDR 3,750 and IDR 5,225 per share. Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and Indo Premier Securities launched the float on Tuesday (10/11) with book-building to continue until 20 November.

  • IPO of Garuda Metalindo on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

    The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) welcomed Garuda Metalindo as the ninth company that listed on the IDX so far in 2015. The listing was a success as shares of the company, traded under ticker symbol BOLT, rose 50 percent during its trading debut. Garuda Metalindo is a manufacturer of bolts and nuts for the automotive industry and currently owns two factories in Tangerang and Kapuk (Java).     Mega Manunggal Property, an Indonesian developer and provider of logistics facilities, officially listed its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Friday (12/06) hence becoming the sixth company to have conducted an initial public offering (IPO) on the IDX this year and bringing the total number of listed companies on the IDX to 511.     Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat, a leading Indonesian hospital operator and subsidiary of the Kalbe Group, plans to raise about IDR 4.2 trillion (USD $328 million) in an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in March 2015. The company plans to offer up to 261.9 million shares, or 18 percent of its enlarged equity, to the public.     On Monday (22/12), two Indonesian companies were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Financing firm Intan Baruprana Finance, subsidiary of publicly listed heavy equipment distributor Intraco Penta, and lender Bank Agris, unit of Dian Intan Perkasa (part of Thailand-based Charoen Pokphand Group).
