IPO News Indonesia: Busy Days ahead of Long Trading Holiday

Ahead of the long Idul Fitri holiday seven Indonesian companies were added to the Indonesia Stock Exchange over the past four days, having completed their initial public offerings (IPOs). So far in 2017 a total of 18 companies have gone public in Indonesia, rebounding from a figure of 14 in full-year 2016. It shows investors have become more confident about financial market stability and Indonesia's economic stability.

Starting from Friday 23 June 2017, the Indonesia Stock Exchange will be closed for six weekdays for the Idul Fitri celebrations that mark the end of the Ramadan month. Trading will resume on Monday 3 July 2017.

Marga Abhinaya Abadi

Hospitality and restaurant company Marga Abhinaya Abadi will be listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange today (22/06). It offered 474 million shares to the public at a price of IDR 112 a piece in its IPO. Hence, it is expected to raise IDR 53.08 billion (approx. USD $4 million). These funds will be used to settle debts (38 percent) as well as for business expansion (34 percent) and working capital (28 percent). Underwriters are Sinarmas Sekuritas and Erdhika Sekuritas.

Buyung Poetra Sembada

Rice distribution company Buyung Poetra Sembada is the second company to be listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange today. The company offered 700 million shares to the public (29.79 percent of its enlarged capital) for a price of IDR 310 per share. Hence, the company will raise up to IDR 217 billion from this corporate move. Funds will be allocated to working capital (including the purchase of raw materials) and debt settlements. Underwriters are Bahana Sekuritas, RHB Sekuritas Indonesia, and Trimegah Sekuritas Indonesia.
