    Eka Sari Lorena, an Indonesia-based transportation company, is the next company that will conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in order to gain funds for further business expansion. Last year, Eka Sari Lorena was denied to go public as it did not get approval from market regulators. After securing approval this year, the company offers 150 million shares (43 percent of its enlarged equity) in an IPO which starts today (01/04). Its listing on the Indonesia Stock Exchange is scheduled for 15 April 2014.

  • Pembangunan Perumahan Lists PP Properti on Indonesia Stock Exchange

    Pembangunan Perumahan (PP), an Indonesia-based government-controlled construction and investment company, plans to list its subsidiary PP Properti on the Indonesia Stock Exchange through an initial public offering (IPO). The subsidiary is expected to list 30 percent of its shares on the stock exchange and aims to raise between IDR 1.2 and 1.5 trillion (roughly USD $119 million) through this corporate action. The IPO is planned to be conducted in the first quarter of 2015. The possible lead underwriters are Mandiri Sekuritas and Bahana Securities.

    PTT Plc, a Thailand-based energy company which conducts coal mining activities in Sebuku, Jambayan and Laung (all on the island of Kalimantan), is planning to list its subsidiary, Sakari Resources, on the Indonesia Stock Exchange through an initial public offering (IPO). PTT Plc has been active in Indonesia's mining sector since 2008 when it acquired a 94 percent stake in (Singapore-listed) Sakari Resources. After the acquisition, Sakari Resources delisted from the Singapore Stock Exchange.

    According to the prospectus that was published on Monday (17/03), Graha Layar Prima will offer 140 million new shares, or 46.11 percent of the company's enlarged capital, to investors in an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia stock exchange (IDX). Graha Layar Prima operates a cinema chain (known as Blitzmegaplex) that is present in several big Indonesian cities, including Jakarta, Bandung, Bekasi, Tangerang and Balikpapan. Funds that are gained through the IPO will all be used for the establishment of seven new cinemas.

    Indonesian television station Cakrawala Andalas Televisi (ANTV), owned by the controversial Bakrie Group, is conducting an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Bookbuilding started today (28/02) and will continue up to 7 March 2014. Its listing on the IDX is planned for 27 March 2014. The company will offer 588.2 billion shares, 15 percent of its enlarged capital, to the public through this corporate action. Sinarmas Sekuritas has been appointed as underwriter of the IPO.

  • Owners of Controversial Tujuh Bukit Plan IPO on Indonesia Stock Exchange

    The owners of Tujuh Bukit, a gold and copper project located near Banyuwangi (East Java), are planning to conduct an initial public offering on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the third quarter of 2014. The project zone is estimated to contain at least 1.6 million ounces of gold and 60 million ounces of silver. If construction of the mine can be realized this year, then gold production can start in 2016. Construction of the copper mine is expected to start in 2019.     PT Indosmelt, an Indonesian smelting company, is planning to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) somewhere in 2015. Through this corporate action the company aims to raise USD $450 to $500 million in new funds by selling 49 percent of its enlarged capital to the public. President Director of Indosmelt Natsyir Mansyur said that the company is currently in talks with Kresna Graha Sekurindo to act as lead underwriter. The funds will be used to build a gold refinery.

    After Bank Panin Syariah became Indonesia's first newly listed company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the year 2014, it was quickly followed by four more listings in this past week. On Thursday (16/01), three new listings were conducted - Asuransi Mitra Maparya (ASMI), Bank Ina Perdana (BINA) and Capitol Nusantara Indonesia (CANI) - as well as one relisting - Tunas Alfin (TALF).     Garuda Indonesia, the country's top-class airline, is planning to conduct a rights issue in the first quarter of 2014. Through this corporate action, which has already been approved by the shareholders, the state-controlled company aims to raise IDR 2 trillion (USD $162.6 million). For 2014, the airline plans to allocate IDR 4 trillion in capital expenditure (capex) for business expansion. About half of this amount should originate from funds generated through the rights issue.
