On Monday (8.11.2021) Indonesia Investments released its October 2021 report. This report discusses a range of subjects - related to political developments, the economy and social matters - that were influential in Indonesia in the month of October 2021.
Over the past decade, cryptocurrency has increasingly become a hot topic in global media with Bitcoin – the first cryptocurrency, and the one that has become the most valuable and commonly held among the more than 10,000 cryptocurrencies that are traded publicly – in particular being in the spotlight.
It was well back during the ‘Oslo Climate and Forest Conference’, held in Norway on 26-27 May 2010, when Indonesia and Norway announced a partnership through which Norway would grant (the equivalent of) USD $1 billion in aid to Indonesia for forest preservation and climate control.
Although in some respects Indonesia has exited the COVID-19 crisis (for example, the economic recession ended in Q2-2021, and the number of new COVID-19 cases and deaths eased significantly), the road ahead is uncertain and full of challenges.
