The survey also indicated that consumers expect price increases (for foodstuff, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco) in the next three months as consumption is expected to increased ahead of the 2014 legislative and presidential elections. After these elections, prices are estimated to moderate. Indonesia's inflation rose 8.37 percent year-on-year in November 2013.
