  • Lion Group to List on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016

    The Lion Group, parent to Indonesia’s largest privately held airline Lion Mentari Airlines (Lion Air), targets to raise IDR 10 trillion (USD $820 million) by selling a 30 percent stake through an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2016. If realized, this would be one of the largest IPOs on the IDX in recent years. Lion Group CEO Rusdi Kirana confirmed the company’s IPO plans earlier this week. Part of the proceeds will be used to develop a new airport in Lebak (Banten, West Java).

  • Taxi Operator Blue Bird Listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange Today

    Indonesian taxi operator Blue Bird is the 19th company that has conducted an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2014. On Wednesday (05/11), the company’s shares made their debut on the stock exchange and immediately soared over 25 percent to IDR 8,175 (USD $0.68) per share. By releasing 376.5 million shares to the public, Indonesia’s largest taxi operator raised IDR 2.4 trillion (USD $200 million). However, this result is considerably lower than the earlier forecast of around USD $307 million.

  • Indonesia Stock Market Update: IPO Soechi Lines & Forecast IPOs in 2015

    Indonesian shipping company Soechi Lines targets to raise IDR 2 trillion through an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in November 2014. The company will release 2.6 billion shares, 30 percent of its enlarged capital, to the public. General Director of Soechi Lines, Go Darmadi, said that shares will be offered at a price of between IDR 600 and 800 per share. Half of the proceeds will be spent on capital expenditure (capex), while the remainder will be used for debt repayment and operational costs.

  • Indonesian Taxi Operator Blue Bird Downsizes Initial Public Offering

    Indonesia’s largest taxi operator Blue Bird has set a new (downsized) target for its initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) this month. The company now aims to raise IDR 2.4 trillion (USD $200 million), down from its initial target of IDR 4.94 trillion. Blue Bird will offer 376.5 million shares to the public, or 14.2 percent of its enlarged capital, at a price of IDR 6,500 per share (considerably lower than its previous indicative price of between IDR 7,200 and IDR 9,300).

    Gold miner Archi Indonesia, a subsidiary of Rajawali Corpora, expects to collect USD $200 million through an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) before the end of the year.     After Bank Panin Syariah became Indonesia's first newly listed company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in the year 2014, it was quickly followed by four more listings in this past week.
