    The world is about to see the largest initial public offering (IPO) ever as China’s e-commerce company Alibaba may raise over USD $24 billion through its listing on the New York Stock Exchange on 18 September 2014, thus exceeding the value of IPOs of the Agriculture Bank of China (USD $22.1 billion), and the Industrial & Commercial Bank of China (USD $21.9 billion). Alibaba’s market capitalization, valued at about USD $162.7 billion, is the third-largest after Google (USD $400 billion) and Facebook (USD $201 billion).

    Cipta Kridatama, one of Indonesia leading mining contractor companies, plans to conduct an initial public offering on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) after 2015.   • IPO of Coal Miner Mitrabara Adiperdana on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

    Mitrabara Adiperdana, an Indonesia-based coal miner, is planning to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in July 2014. The company will offer 273.03 million shares, or 22 percent of its enlarged share base, to the public at a price range of IDR 1,150 to IDR 1,350 per share. Through this corporate action, the miner targets to raise IDR 368.6 billion (USD $31 million). Reportedly, after the IPO, Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan Co Ltd has an option to purchase a 27.68 percent stake in the Indonesian coal miner.

    Bank Dinar Indonesia announced to set its share price at IDR 110 per share at the initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The company hopes to raise IDR 55 billion (USD $4.6 million) by offering 500 million new shares, or 22.22 percent of its enlarged capital, to the public. Approximately 75 percent of the proceeds will be used for credit disbursement expansion, while the remainder will be used to finance the establishment of nine new offices. Underwriter of the IPO is Andalan Artha Advisindo Sekuritas.

    Batavia Prosperindo Internasional, an Indonesian business and management consultancy services firm, set its share price in the range of IDR 450 to IDR 500 (roughly USD $0.04) for its initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (this price range is in line with the company’s price to earnings ratio at between 8.2 to 9.2 times).     Phapros, subsidiary of state-owned Rajawali Nusantara Indonesia, intends to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015 by offering 10 to 20 percent of its enlarged capital to the public. Through this corporate action, Phapros, a pharmaceutical products manufacturer, aims to raise IDR 500 billion (USD $42.3 million) which will be used to finance the company's capital expenditure in the next two years.     On Monday (02/06), Indonesian Internet services provider Link Net conducted its initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Despite the negative market sentiments (brought on by the release of Indonesia's wide April 2014 trade deficit), the company's shares rose 50 percent on its trading debut. Offered at IDR 1,600 (USD $0.14) per share at the start of trading, the shares finished at IDR 2,600 (USD $0.28) on Monday. Ciptadana Securities was appointed as lead underwriter for the IPO.

    Indonesian Internet services provider Link Net decided to set its share price for the company's initial public offering (IPO) at IDR 1,600 (USD $0.14), the upper level of the indicative price as investor demand is expected to be high. The company, a subsidiary of First Media (cable-TV operator and Internet services provider), offers 304 million shares, or 10 percent of its enlarged capital between 22 and 23 May 2014.
