IPO News Indonesia: Impressive Trading Debut Prima Cakrawala Abadi
On the last trading day of 2017, Prima Cakrawala Abadi became the 37th company to make its trading debut on the Indonesia Stock Exchange this year. The company's shares immediately skyrocketed 69.33 percent to IDR 254 a piece, hence triggering the auto-rejection system. For Indonesia it was a great year in terms of initial public offerings (IPOs) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. There are now 567 listed companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

Market Update: Nothing Stopping Indonesian Stocks Ahead of 2018
There is no stop to the benchmark Jakarta Composite Index in the last week of 2017. Amid mixed Asian stock markets (and thin trading volumes), Indonesian stocks are persistently touching new record highs. By 11:25 am local Jakarta time on Friday, the last trading day of the year, the Jakarta Composite Index had climbed 0.77 percent to 6,362.69 points on Friday (29/12).

Bank Indonesia Estimates GDP Growth at 5.05% in 2017, 6% by 2022
The central bank of Indonesia (Bank Indonesia) stated on Thursday (28/12) that it expects to see Indonesia's economic growth at 5.05 percent year-on-year (y/y) in full-year 2017, up modestly from 5.02 percent (y/y) in the preceding year. Bank Indonesia Governor Agus Martowardojo said the Indonesian economy is recovering unevenly yet gradually.
