Kresna Graha Investama Wants 3 Units on the Indonesia Stock Exchange
Financial investment management company Kresna Graha Investama said it is preparing the initial public offering (IPO) of three subsidiaries on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the second half of 2018. All three subsidiaries are engaged in the country's digital sector. However, at this stage, Kresna Graha Investama Managing Director Suryandy Jahja only mentioned the name of one unit that is to list, namely Match Move Indonesia.
Match Move Indonesia is a company that offers a mobile wallet system to companies that supports revenue growth and user engagement. The company's technology also enables P2P transfers, cross-border money transfers, top up channels, virtual payment cards, loyalty points & rewards, promotions & offers, and other features.
Jahja said he expects to see great appetite from investors for shares of Kresna Graha Investama units once listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Not only domestic investors but also foreign investors are on the company's radar, therefore shares will also be offered to foreign investors in Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia. Moreover, Jahja sees plenty of long-term growth opportunities for the three subsidiaries.
Currently, the biggest topic of debate within Kresna Graha Investama is the exact valuation of subsidiaries' shares. Jahja said the valuation of companies in the digital sector is different from companies in other sectors as the conventional matrices cannot be used. Also the innovation that is conducted by a company cannot be measured in a number. Therefore, he says the only benchmark is the growth that is recorded by the company itself.
Kresna Graha Investama started to expand into the digital sector in 2015 when it set up Kresna Usaha Kreatif. This was followed by purchasing a 20 percent stake in e-commerce company Nurbaya Initiative in June 2016. Then, in April 2017, Kresna Usaha Kreatif purchased a 17.6 percent stake in M Cash Integrasi, which is primarily engaged in managing and operating digital self-service kiosks, under the name MCASH Kiosk.
In November 2017 Kresna Graha Investama and M Cash Integrasi acquired a 14.81 percent stake, each, in Match Move Indonesia. Both companies also bought stakes in Sistem Mikroelektronik Cerdas Co-Design in January 2018: a 20 percent stake for Kresna Graha Investama and a 30 percent stake for M Cash Integrasi.
Shares of Kresna Graha Investama, listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, were up 3.36 percent to IDR 615 per share by 11:25 am local Jakarta time on Thursday (01/03). So far this year, the company's shares have surged slightly over 16 percent.
