Indonesia Starts Clinical Trials for the Medicine No One Is Supposed to Know About: Ivermectin
For more than a year now, small-scale studies from around the world suggest that a medicine called Ivermectin (which is actually used to treat various types of parasite infestations) is effective to combat COVID-19, both in a prophylactic (prevention) and therapeutic (treatment) setting.
One of the most recent studies, published on 17 June 2021 in the American Journal of Therapeutics, and which is possibly the biggest meta-analysis published so far on the topic of the possible effects of Ivermectin on COVID-19, concludes that:
“Moderate-certainty evidence finds that large reductions in COVID-19 deaths are possible using Ivermectin. Using Ivermectin early in the clinical course may reduce numbers progressing to severe disease. The apparent safety and low cost suggest that Ivermectin is likely to have a significant impact on the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic globally.”
If, indeed, Ivermectin reduces COVID-19 transmissions by 86 percent and COVID-19 related deaths by 62 percent (as is suggested by this study), it would not only be a huge breakthrough in the COVID-19 crisis (as Ivermectin is a relatively cheap and safe medicine) but it should also certainly make us re-calibrate our confidence in Western governments, specific supranational organizations (including the World Health Organization, or WHO), various mainstream media, and certain social media platforms (such as Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube). The reason being that they all have embraced vaccines as the sole solution to the COVID-19 crisis (even though the long term health effects of these vaccines remain unknown today), while essentially denying any positive information about Ivermectin to spread.
