  • Rupiah & Saham Indonesia Menguat setelah Pertemuan Federal Reserve

    Saham di Indonesia dan nilai tukar rupiah menguat tajam pada hari Kamis (19/03) setelah Federal Reserve menunda menaikkan suku bunga acuannya dalam Pertemuan Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) selama dua hari yang berakhir pada hari Rabu (18/03) karena inflasi Amerika Serikat (AS) masih rendah sedangkan pertumbuhan ekonomi AS sedikit melambat. Bank sentral AS menberikan sinyal bahwa Fed tidak terburu-buru untuk menaikkan suku bunga acuannya. Di sisi lain, Fed juga menghapuskan kata 'sabar' dari panduannya untuk suku bunga (yang berada dalam posisi paling rendah sejak akhir 2008).

  • Bank Sentral Indonesia Pertahankan Suku Bunga Acuan di 7,50% di Maret

    Bank Sentral Indonesia (Bank Indonesia) memutuskan untuk tetap menjaga suku bunga acuannya pada 7,5% sebagai hasil keputusan pertemuan Dewan Gubernur Bank Indonesia (BI) yang dilakukan hari ini. Suku bunga overnight deposit facility dan suku bunga lending facility dipertahankan masing-masing 5,5% dan 8%. BI menganggap bahwa kondisi suku bunga saat ini sesuai dengan targetnya untuk mendorong inflasi ke dalam target antara 3,0% sampai 5,0% dalam basis year on year (y/y) di tahun 2015 dan mengurangi defisit neraca transaksi berjalan Indonesia antara 2,5% sampai 3,0% dari produk domestik bruto (PDB).

    Ketika nilai tukar rupiah jatuh di bawah batasan yang menguatirkan yaitu Rp 13,000 per dollar Amerika Serikat (AS) pada hari Rabu (05/03), baik Menteri Keuangan Indonesia Bambang Brodjonegoro dan Gubernur Bank Indonesia (BI) mengatakan bahwa tidak perlu panik karena performa rupiah terhadap dollar AS masih sejalan dengan performa mata uang-mata uang lain terhadap dollar AS. Berdasarkan pada Bloomberg Dollar Index, nilai rupiah telah melemah 0,28% menjadi Rp 13,028 pada pukul 13:35 Waktu Indonesia Barat (WIB).

  • Rupiah Dipengaruhi Pemotongan Suku Bunga Bank Sentral Cina

    Nilai tukar rupiah - sejalan dengan nilai tukar mata uang negara-negara berkembang lain di Asia - mengalami dampak negatif akibat pemotongan suku bunga di Republik Rakyat Tiongkok (RRT). Menurut Bloomberg Dollar Index, nilai rupiah menurun 0,40% menjadi Rp 12,984 per dollar Amerika Serikat (AS) pada pukul 11:10 WIB pada hari Senin (02/03), sangat mendekati batasan yang menguatirkan yaitu Rp 13,000 per dollar AS. Pada hari Sabtu yang lalu (28/02), bank sentral RRT mengumumkan pemotongan suku bunga deposito (1 tahun) dan suku bunga pinjaman (1 tahun) sebanyak 25 point menjadi masing-masing 2,5% dan 3,5%.

    The central bank of Indonesia (Bank Indonesia) announced two important matters on Thursday (14/08). Firstly, the institution decided to maintain the benchmark interest rate (BI rate) at 7.50 percent, the overnight deposit facility rate (Fasbi) at 5.75 percent, and the lending facility rate at 7.50 percent.
