The highest increase of foreign tourist arrivals (214.74 percent) was recorded in Lombok International Airport, followed by Adisucipto Airport in Yogyakarta (44.07 percent), and Makassar (26.09 percent).


Tourism in March 2014

Meanwhile, the number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia in March 2014 amounted to 765.607, rising 5.55 percent from the same month in 2013. Compared to February 2014, foreign tourist arrivals grew 8.96 percent. Of the total amount of foreign tourists that visited Indonesia in March 2014, 18.10 percent originated from Singapore, followed by Malaysia (14.99 percent), Australia (10.63 percent), China (10.21 percent), and Japan (4.94 percent).

Indonesia's Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy targets to welcome 9.5 million foreign tourists in 2014 (23.2 percent of this target has been achieved in the first quarter of 2014).
