Both terminals will each require about USD $250 to $350 million in investments, which shall be borne by the winner of the tender.

A presidential degree in April 2012 assigned Pelindo II to develop and operate the New Priok Port (also known as the Kalibaru Port) in North Jakarta. This is the largest port construction in the history of Indonesia and will strengthen the national logistics chain as well as function as an international hub for seaborne trade. The port will be fully operational in 2023.
