    Indonesian radio broadcasting company Mahaka Radio Integra, part of the Mahaka Group, plans to acquire one radio station in Jakarta as well as two new radio stations in Medan and Makassar in 2016. Through these acquisitions the company aims to control a 30-40 percent market share in the nation's radio industry by 2017. To finance these corporate actions Mahaka Radio Integra will use part of proceeds from the initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) this month.

  • IPOs on the Indonesia Stock Exchange Disappointing in 2015, Better in 2016?

    Today, Indonesian integrated fishery, marine product processing and cold storage company Dua Putra Utama Makmur will be listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), hence becoming the 13th company to have conducted an initial public offering (IPO) on the IDX this year. Previously it was reported that the IPO of Dua Putra Utama Makmur was oversubscribed 1.5 times, reflecting robust demand. Overall, however, the number of IPOs on the IDX has been disappointing in 2015. Next year is expected to be a better year.

  • IPO Ateliers Mecanique D'Indonesie (Atmindo) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

    Ateliers Mecanique D'Indonesie, better known as Atmindo, will offer 240 million new shares, equivalent to 22.2 percent of the company's enlarged capital, to the public for a price of IDR 120-140 per share in an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in December 2015. Through this corporate action, the boiler manufacturer targets to raise up to IDR 33.6 billion (approx. USD $2.5 million). The setting of the share price in the IPO is based on a price-to-earnings ratio of 8.0 - 9.3 times.

  • IPO Buyung Poetra Sembada on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

    Indonesian rice producer Buyung Poetra Sembada will offer 710 million new shares, or 30.08 percent of the company's expanded capital, to the market through an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The new shares will be offered at between IDR 420-500 per share, hence aiming to raise up to IDR 355 billion (approx. USD $26 million), in December 2015. Buyung Poetra Sembada is a rice producer known for its Topi Koki brand. Underwriter for the offering is Bahana Securities.

  • IPO of Indonesia Pondasi Raya (Indopora) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

    Construction firm Indonesia Pondasi Raya plans to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in December 2015. The company, better known as Indopora, aims to raise around IDR 530 billion (approx. USD $39 million) by offering 303 million shares, or 15.1 percent of its paid-up capital, at a price ranging between IDR 1,280 and IDR 1,920 per share. This range is based on a price-to-earnings ratio of 8 to 12 times. Kurnia Salim, Head of Institutional Business at Yuanta Securities Indonesia, said Indopora is projected to collect IDR 333 billion (approx. USD $25 million) in net profit in 2016.

  • IPO Mitra Komunikasi Nusantara on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

    Today Mitra Komunikasi Nusantara made a successful trading debut on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The company, a prepaid mobile credit wholesaler, became the 14th Indonesian company to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the IDX this year. Offered at an initial price of IDR 200 (approx USD $0.01) per share, the price rose 70 percent at its trading debut, finishing at IDR 340 per share. Mitra Komunikasi Nusantara is engaged in the trading and sales of smartphones, gadgets, and voucher reloading.

  • Indonesia Stock Exchange Update: IPOs Short of Target in 2015

    The economic slowdown and looming capital outflows related to higher US interest rates have been the main reasons why it is highly unlikely for the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) to achieve its revised target of seeing 22 companies conducting an initial public offering (IPO) on the IDX in 2015. So far this year, only 13 companies have listed on the IDX. However, reportedly, there are still about a dozen local companies interested to prepare an IPO in the next two months.

  • Indonesia Stock Exchange: Initial Public Offering Bank Harda Internasional

    On Wednesday (12/08), Bank Harda Internasional became the 12th company to list on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2015. The bank released 800 million shares to the public at a price of IDR 125 (USD $0.01) per share hence raising IDR 100 billion (USD $7.2 million) through the initial public offering (IPO). Despite harsh conditions - the benchmark Jakarta Composite Index fell 2.66 percent during the first trading session on Wednesday - shares of Bank Harda Internasional (with IDX code BBHI) rose 3.2 percent to IDR 129.

  • IPO Binakarya Jaya Abadi on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

    On Tuesday (14/07), construction firm and property developer Binakarya Jaya Abadi became the 11th company to list on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2015. The company offered 150 million shares, 25 percent of its paid up capital, in an initial public offering (IPO) at an offering price of IDR 1,000 per share, thereby raising IDR 150 billion (USD $11.3 million). Despite weak market sentiments, the company’s shares rose 50 percent on its trading debut on the IDX. RHB OSK Securities was underwriter for the IPO.

  • IPO Anabatic Technologies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

    Indonesian information technology solutions provider Anabatic Technologies, became the 10th company to list on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2015. By selling 375 million shares, or 20 percent of the company’s enlarged capital, Anabatic Technologies raised IDR 262.5 billion (USD $19.5 million). In the initial public offering (IPO) 10 percent of the company’s shares were bought by Japanese IT solutions provider TIS. Through this partnership, Anabatic expects to expand its business outside Indonesia.

    Shares of newly-listed Dua Putra Utama Makmur soared on Tuesday (08/12) at its debut on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Shares of the fish processing firm, the 15th company to be welcomed on the IDX in 2015, climbed 50 percent to finish at IDR 825 per share.     Before the end of the year, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company Kino Indonesia plans to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The company aims to raise around IDR 1 trillion (approx. USD $74 million) by offering 228.6 million new shares, equivalent to 16 percent of its enlarged capital, to the public. The price range of has been set between IDR 3,750 and IDR 5,225 per share. Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and Indo Premier Securities launched the float on Tuesday (10/11) with book-building to continue until 20 November.

  • IPO of Garuda Metalindo on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

    The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) welcomed Garuda Metalindo as the ninth company that listed on the IDX so far in 2015. The listing was a success as shares of the company, traded under ticker symbol BOLT, rose 50 percent during its trading debut. Garuda Metalindo is a manufacturer of bolts and nuts for the automotive industry and currently owns two factories in Tangerang and Kapuk (Java). Clients of the company include Astra Honda Motor, Kawasaki Motor, Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motor, and Suzuki Indomobil Motor.

    Mega Manunggal Property, an Indonesian developer and provider of logistics facilities, officially listed its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Friday (12/06) hence becoming the sixth company to have conducted an initial public offering (IPO) on the IDX this year and bringing the total number of listed companies on the IDX to 511.     Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat, a leading Indonesian hospital operator and subsidiary of the Kalbe Group, plans to raise about IDR 4.2 trillion (USD $328 million) in an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in March 2015. The company plans to offer up to 261.9 million shares, or 18 percent of its enlarged equity, to the public.
