  • Gold Miner Archi Indonesia Postpones Initial Public Offering (IPO)

    Gold miner Archi Indonesia, unit of the Rajawali Corpora Group, decided to postpone its initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) due to the sluggish global economy resulting in the weak global gold price (which is currently touching four-year lows). Archi Indonesia’s IPO was planned to be held this December and was estimated to be the largest IPO on the IDX in 2014 in terms of capital raised (roughly USD $285 million), exceeding the value of taxi operator Blue Bird’s IPO earlier this year.

  • Soechi Lines First of 6 IPOs on Indonesia Stock Exchange in December

    A total of six Indonesian companies are expected to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in December 2014. Today (Wednesday 03/12), shipping company Soechi Lines made its trading debut, raising around IDR 582.5 billion (USD $48 million) by offering 1 billion new shares, or 15 percent of the company’s enlarged capital, to the public. The company’s shares surged as much as 27 percent after the opening. It was the 20th company to list on the IDX in 2014.

  • Lion Group to List on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2016

    The Lion Group, parent to Indonesia’s largest privately held airline Lion Mentari Airlines (Lion Air), targets to raise IDR 10 trillion (USD $820 million) by selling a 30 percent stake through an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2016. If realized, this would be one of the largest IPOs on the IDX in recent years. Lion Group CEO Rusdi Kirana confirmed the company’s IPO plans earlier this week. Part of the proceeds will be used to develop a new airport in Lebak (Banten, West Java).

  • Taxi Operator Blue Bird Listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange Today

    Indonesian taxi operator Blue Bird is the 19th company that has conducted an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2014. On Wednesday (05/11), the company’s shares made their debut on the stock exchange and immediately soared over 25 percent to IDR 8,175 (USD $0.68) per share. By releasing 376.5 million shares to the public, Indonesia’s largest taxi operator raised IDR 2.4 trillion (USD $200 million). However, this result is considerably lower than the earlier forecast of around USD $307 million.

  • Indonesia Stock Market Update: IPO Soechi Lines & Forecast IPOs in 2015

    Indonesian shipping company Soechi Lines targets to raise IDR 2 trillion through an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in November 2014. The company will release 2.6 billion shares, 30 percent of its enlarged capital, to the public. General Director of Soechi Lines, Go Darmadi, said that shares will be offered at a price of between IDR 600 and 800 per share. Half of the proceeds will be spent on capital expenditure (capex), while the remainder will be used for debt repayment and operational costs.

  • Indonesian Taxi Operator Blue Bird Downsizes Initial Public Offering

    Indonesia’s largest taxi operator Blue Bird has set a new (downsized) target for its initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) this month. The company now aims to raise IDR 2.4 trillion (USD $200 million), down from its initial target of IDR 4.94 trillion. Blue Bird will offer 376.5 million shares to the public, or 14.2 percent of its enlarged capital, at a price of IDR 6,500 per share (considerably lower than its previous indicative price of between IDR 7,200 and IDR 9,300).

    Gold miner Archi Indonesia, a subsidiary of Rajawali Corpora, expects to collect USD $200 million through an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) before the end of the year. The company will offer between 15 and 20 percent of its enlarged share capital to the public. It appointed two local securities firms, including Danareksa Sekuritas, and two foreign securities firms as underwriters.     Before the end of the year, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company Kino Indonesia plans to conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The company aims to raise around IDR 1 trillion (approx. USD $74 million) by offering 228.6 million new shares, equivalent to 16 percent of its enlarged capital, to the public. The price range of has been set between IDR 3,750 and IDR 5,225 per share.   • IPO of Garuda Metalindo on the Indonesia Stock Exchange

    The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) welcomed Garuda Metalindo as the ninth company that listed on the IDX so far in 2015. The listing was a success as shares of the company, traded under ticker symbol BOLT, rose 50 percent during its trading debut. Garuda Metalindo is a manufacturer of bolts and nuts for the automotive industry and currently owns two factories in Tangerang and Kapuk (Java).     Mega Manunggal Property, an Indonesian developer and provider of logistics facilities, officially listed its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on Friday (12/06) hence becoming the sixth company to have conducted an initial public offering (IPO) on the IDX this year and bringing the total number of listed companies on the IDX to 511.     Mitra Keluarga Karyasehat, a leading Indonesian hospital operator and subsidiary of the Kalbe Group, plans to raise about IDR 4.2 trillion (USD $328 million) in an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in March 2015. The company plans to offer up to 261.9 million shares, or 18 percent of its enlarged equity, to the public.     On Monday (22/12), two Indonesian companies were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Financing firm Intan Baruprana Finance, subsidiary of publicly listed heavy equipment distributor Intraco Penta, and lender Bank Agris, unit of Dian Intan Perkasa (part of Thailand-based Charoen Pokphand Group).     Newly listed Impack Pratama Industri, a leading Indonesia-based building materials and plastics manufacturer, expects its net profit to grow by 10 percent in 2015 from this year’s estimated IDR 280-290 billion (roughly USD $22.8 million). Net revenue is expected to grow 10-15 percent from an estimated IDR 1.60 trillion (USD $128 million) this year.     Indonesian property developer Poris Benteng Betawi may conduct an initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2015.     Blue Bird, Indonesia’s largest taxi operator, plans to conduct its initial public offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) this month. The company offers 531.4 million shares, or 20 percent of its enlarged capital, to the public. However, the company is yet to determine the share price for the IPO. Based on a statement released on Friday (03/10), Blue Bird holds an offering from 24 to 28 October 2014. The company’s shares are set to be listed on the IDX on 3 November 2014. Blue Bird will also hold roadshows in the US and the UK.
